CBT Online Motorcycle Instructor training course video program
CBT Instructor Video’s
I was approached many years ago by a chap in the military who wanted to be a Motorcycle Instructor.
My mission was to train him to become a Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) motorcycle instructor. Military people train differently. They are sent on a course and the information is delivered to them in a short period of time (one or two weeks). The content and lessons are crammed in to utilise every minute of the course. As a result, they are bombarded with information and dropped in at the deep end!
This type of training is usually very successful, as military trainers go over the same lesson’s time after time until the information sticks. This allows them to become proficient at the task. However, becoming a CBT Motorcycle Instructor can’t be adequately delivered like that during a short course, so it was time to get my thinking cap on.
The plan – CBT Instructor Video’s
I came up with a plan that would allow military personnel to learn in a completely different way. In all cases they would need repetition, this would enable them to understand what and how to teach the various lessons within the Compulsory Basic Training syllabus.
At the drawing board, I designed a CBT online motorcycle instructor training course video program. This entailed delivering a full CBT course on camera. It explains what and how to teach each lesson. It also shows what information to deliver and how to interact with learner riders using the training sessions.
CBT Instructor Video’s were really valuable to the military personnel I was teaching. Their time was limited as they had to learn and understand how to deliver lessons during a three or four week course.
The learning method for military personnel when training to be an instructor in any field, usually consists of training all day from 8am to 5pm. Once the day finishes it is time to get stuck in to home study and spend the rest of the night developing Lesson Plans and practicing lesson delivery.
The only problem was, they were not going to remember all the information that was delivered during one day. They needed something to refresh their memory and develop their Lesson Plans, ready to teach back the following day.
The CBT Video Program did exactly what it intended to do. It guided new instructors through every lesson. It could be watched in any order and they could pause, fast forward or rewind each video. When developing their lessons, they had the luxury of watching CBT lessons again and again.
This was a major breakthrough! It eliminated the need to attend training over many months or shadow one lesson delivery per day during a CBT. As a result, the trainee Instructor’s Lesson Plans became more detailed. Rather than shadowing another instructor delivering a CBT, the videos break down each lesson into phases. They give clear guidelines on Lesson Plans and where they should be developed.
The CBT Motorcycle Instructor Training Course Video Program gives a methodical approach to training. When used in conjunction with other training materials, they are a huge help to people who want to become CBT Motorcycle Instructors.
